Jean Baptiste is an accomplished and results-driven agribusiness expert with over 16 years of experience across a diverse range of domains, including green and circular economy, agribusiness incubation, international trade, restoration, experimental and social economic research, women and youth empowerment, rural development, employment, program development, fundraising, strategic partnerships, management, and advocacy. His expertise has been recognized by numerous organizations, including The Cherie Blair Foundation to train Rwanda Women entrepreneurs engaged into Horticulture Value Chain and earned him to chair the Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) from 2016-2020, and the African Youth in Livestock, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Incubation Network (AYL-FAIN) from 2018.

Jean Baptiste's expertise and experience have been instrumental in developing and implementing successful programs on matters related to Financial Literacy, Market strategies creation and fundraising that empower youth and women in agriculture. His work has assisted in the creation of numerous market connections (connecting buyers to sellers by long-term contracts) and therefore resulting into employment opportunities and the strengthening of value chains across various agricultural sectors.

Jean Baptiste is fluent in English, French, Kinyarwanda (Native) and holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the National University of Rwanda and pursued a master's degree in Poverty Reduction: Policy and Practice at School of Oriental and African Studies from the University of London.
